Dakota Spirit offers a variety of cheer training options designed to help every athlete grow. From hands-on workshops and weekly classes to focused clinics, our programs are built to develop strong technique, confidence, and performance skills. Athletes train under experienced coaches in a safe, supportive environment that encourages progress at every level. Whether you’re perfecting your tumbling, mastering stunts, or learning new choreography, Dakota Spirit provides the tools and guidance to help you reach your goals.
Workshops
Our Tumbling Workshops are specialty training sessions that focus on specific skills or progressions—like mastering aerials, standing tumbling, or connecting advanced passes. These sessions are offered periodically and provide an intensive, small-group format to refine technique and boost confidence.
Unlike our weekly classes, workshops are one-time events designed to target a particular area of tumbling and deliver rapid improvement. They’re great for both current athletes and visiting athletes looking for extra practice or to break through plateaus.
What to expect:
Experience Level: No experience required; great for current and visiting athletes looking for extra practice.
Commitment: One-time event offered periodically.
Highlights: Small-group format to refine technique.

Classes
Dakota Spirit’s weekly tumbling classes help athletes of all ages strengthen their foundation, build advanced skills, and boost confidence in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. From first-time tumblers to advanced flyers, every class emphasizes proper technique, flexibility, and strength development under the guidance of experienced coaches. Whether your athlete is perfecting a back handspring, improving flexibility, or learning to fly with confidence, there’s a class for every level and goal.

Private Lessons
Seeking individualized attention to help you achieve your tumbling goals more quickly? Our Private Lessons offer focused, personalized instruction tailored to your needs. Whether you’re mastering your back handspring, perfecting your form, or working toward elite-level skills, our coaches create a customized plan just for you.
What to expect:
Experience Level: Open to all athletes—from beginners working on foundational skills to advanced tumblers progressing elite-level skills.
Commitment: Book as needed; ongoing or one-time sessions available. 24-hour notice required for cancellations.
Highlights: One-on-one coaching with a customized skill plan, focused corrections, and accelerated progress in a safe, supportive setting.
Tumbling Tutors
Looking for extra guidance between weekly classes? Tumbling Tutors offer affordable, one-on-one support from trained Dakota Spirit athletes who can help reinforce proper technique and build confidence. These 30-minute sessions are ideal for beginners through back handspring-level skills, providing athletes with personalized attention without the full private-lesson investment. With focused feedback, hands-on help, and positive peer coaching, Tumbling Tutors are the perfect way to stay motivated and progressing all season long.
What to expect:
Experience Level: Best for beginner through back-handspring-level athletes who need extra practice and confidence-building support.
Commitment: 30-minute sessions booked as needed. Tutors are trained and certified to teach within their approved skill range.
Highlights: Affordable one-on-one instruction led by trained Dakota Spirit athletes—bridging the gap between weekly classes and full private lessons.
Stunt Group Lessons
Perfect for cheerleaders looking to strengthen timing, technique, and confidence, our Stunt Group Lessons offer focused training for bases, flyers, and back spots working together. Athletes receive hands-on coaching in grips and holds, body control, transitions, and advanced stunt sequences—always with an emphasis on safety, communication, and proper progression. Whether you’re mastering the foundations or sharpening elite-level stunt work, these 60-minute sessions help groups build trust, consistency, and stronger stunt execution as a unit.
What to expect:
Experience Level: Open to stunt groups of all experience levels, from foundational skills to advanced sequences. Groups must attend together.
Commitment: One-hour sessions scheduled as needed. Groups should consist of a flyer, back spot, and two bases.
Highlights: Team-based stunt instruction focused on timing, communication, and safe technique—led by experienced stunt coaches.
Guest Clinicians
Dakota Spirit is committed to providing athletes with unmatched opportunities for growth and excellence. Throughout the year, we welcome world-renowned coaches and guest clinicians into our gym to deliver high-level instruction, specialty workshops, and advanced skill development. These sessions give athletes exclusive access to elite coaching, fresh techniques, and new perspectives—all designed to push their training further and inspire their progress. Whether focused on tumbling, stunting, performance, or technique, Guest Clinician events bring world-class expertise directly to Dakota Spirit.
Open Gym
Wednesdays from 7:30 - 8:30 pm
Open Gym is the perfect time to focus on you! Work on tumbling skills, stunts, jumps, flexibility, or conditioning — whatever you need most. A coach will be on hand to supervise and give pointers, but this hour is all about independent practice at your own pace. Whether you’re perfecting a new skill or keeping your technique sharp, Open Gym gives athletes the freedom and space to train in a supportive environment.
Cost: $10
Friday Night Lights
Fridays from 7 - 9 pm
Friday Night Lights is where cheer meets fun and excitement! Join us for two hours of high-energy open training, music, and team spirit. Athletes can stunt, tumble, and work together in a lively, positive atmosphere. A coach will be on hand to supervise and give pointers, but this is all about independent practice at your own pace. It’s the perfect way to end the week — practice new skills, show off progress, and cheer each other on under the Friday night lights!
Cost: $12 for members and $15 for non-members
Summer Camps

Dakota Spirit’s summer camps offer athletes an exciting opportunity to build skills, confidence, and momentum heading into the season. Throughout the summer, athletes participate in specialized camps, clinics, and choreography sessions led by experienced coaches and guest instructors, with a strong focus on stunting, tumbling, and performance technique. These camps are designed to challenge athletes while reinforcing teamwork, discipline, and Dakota Spirit’s “We Over Me” culture—setting the tone for a successful and rewarding year ahead.
Gym Rental Rates
Gym rental starts at $200/hr. Rates vary depending on group size, equipment needs, and rental duration.
Booking Information
We recommend reserving your rental in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Rentals are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis; all participants must sign a waiver and must follow our facility safety guidelines.
